Over the last several posts, we have followed people through Rainbow gatherings, Pagan festivals, Bhakti in the Woods, Bhakti Bliss, Gaiafest, Peterborough Yoga Festival, Rooted in Wellness, Eclipse, Sonic Springs, Raven’s Knoll and KN¿WHERE.
Eventually a different question becomes necessary.
Who actually matters most to the structure of this network?
Not who appears most interesting.
Not who we started investigating first.
Not who has the largest social-media presence.
Who actually connects the most independently documented parts of the network?
So I built a working matrix.
How I Scored This
This is not a scientific census of every festival appearance these people have ever made.
The score is much narrower.
I counted a connection only when I could identify a public source placing the same person within one of the festival or community nodes being examined in this series.
I also combined closely related activities where separating them would artificially inflate somebody’s score. For example, City of Om and 24Hr Yogapalooza are treated here as part of the same Ottawa yoga-festival infrastructure rather than as two completely independent worlds.
Most importantly:
A high score means publicly documented network reach. It does not mean control, authority, wrongdoing or membership in some larger organization.
The Result
The first surprise is that Eric Mandala does not stand alone at the top.
On raw event-network reach, Eric Mandala and Justine Hoang are essentially tied in the material I could substantiate.
But they get there in very different ways.

The Bhakti Bliss names in this sample come directly from its published lineup, which includes Andrew Sass, Rebecca White Raven, Justine Hoang, Eric Mandala, Tiina Kivinen, Lisa and Jeff Hamilton, Śraddhā and numerous additional yoga teachers, musicians and workshop facilitators.
Number One: Eric Mandala — The Widest Cultural Bridge
Eric’s six-node score comes from very different cultural environments.
Public material places him around the Ontario Rainbow community. He has performed at Ontario Paganfest, repeatedly appears at Gaiafest, performs at Bhakti Bliss, appears on Eclipse Festival’s official 2022 roster as Eric Mandala & Zu Zen & The Rainbow Tribe, and performed at Ozora in 2025.

Eric’s importance therefore is not simply his number of appearances.
It is the diversity of those appearances.
He crosses Pagan, Rainbow-associated, devotional, wellness, ecstatic-dance, psychedelic and transformational festival environments.
In network terminology, that gives him unusually strong brokerage value.
Number One Again: Justine Hoang — The Deepest Regional Connector
Justine reaches approximately the same raw score, but her structure is different.
She is documented within Peterborough Yoga Festival material, Ottawa’s City of Om/24Hr Yogapalooza environment, Rooted in Wellness, Gaiafest and Bhakti Bliss, while older Ottawa-area material also places her within the Bhakti in the Woods community.

This is a different kind of centrality.
Eric spans culturally different communities.
Justine appears deeply embedded within the regional yoga, kirtan and wellness infrastructure.
So if the question is:
Who reaches across the greatest variety of communities?
Eric probably wins.
But if the question is:
Who appears most consistently throughout the Ottawa–Gatineau devotional and wellness circuit?
Justine is at least as important.
Rebecca and Kevin: The Continuity Core
Rebecca White Raven and Kevin Guerette each reach five independently identifiable festival environments in this working dataset.
Gaiafest promotional material itself describes Rebecca and Kevin as having led kirtan at Bhakti in the Woods, Peterborough Yoga Festival, Rooted in Wellness and Bhakti Bliss, while also featuring them at Gaiafest.
That gives us an unusually clean chain:

Rebecca’s significance is even greater organizationally because surviving biographical material identifies her with the earlier Bhakti in the Woods community, while Bhakti Bliss developed after that earlier festival lineage.
This is why I would describe Rebecca and Kevin not primarily as boundary spanners but as part of the network’s continuity core.
Andrew Sass: Smaller Reach, Strong Embeddedness
Andrew Sass currently has three strong nodes in this particular matrix.
Public material connects him with the Bhakti in the Woods journey, Gaiafest has explicitly programmed Justine Hoang and Andrew Sass together, and Bhakti Bliss repeatedly lists Andrew as musician, yoga instructor and workshop facilitator.
His score is lower than Eric’s or Justine’s.
But his repeated presence inside the same cluster gives him strong embeddedness.
Nikoli: The Other Electronic Bridge
Nikoli becomes increasingly important once we stop concentrating on the Bhakti names.
Ottawa’s CKCU describes him as having performed at Eclipse Festival, Sonic Springs Music & Art Festival and Gaia Fest, and identifies him as a co-founder/co-creator of Music.Art.Ppl.

This is significant because it creates another Gaiafest–Eclipse relationship that does not depend on Eric Mandala.
Christine Lamothe: Another Independent Gaia–Bhakti Connection
Christine is useful precisely because she was not part of our original group.
Her own material documents Gaiafest participation, while Bhakti Bliss currently features her in its workshop programming.

That means the Gaiafest–Bhakti Bliss overlap survives even if Eric, Rebecca, Justine and Andrew are removed from the picture.
Tiina Kivinen: Peterborough to Bhakti Bliss
Peterborough Yoga Festival material describes Tiina Kivinen and the Peterborough Living Yoga community as long-time festival supporters. Bhakti Bliss separately lists Tiina within its yoga programming.

Lisa Hamilton and Śraddhā: More Continuity Beneath the Top Tier
Lisa Hamilton appears within the Peterborough Yoga Festival community and performs at Bhakti Bliss with Jeff Hamilton as Heartsong.
Śraddhā has surviving public references to Bhakti in the Woods and is also listed among Bhakti Bliss’s kirtan performers.
These connections matter because they demonstrate that the network does not abruptly stop below the most visible five or six people.
A Methodological Correction About Mikael Polo
Our earlier reverse search identified Mikael Polo as an important possible bridge from the KN¿WHERE side into the Ontario psychedelic-festival environment.
That broader history remains supported: public promotional material describes Polo as a yoga and breathwork facilitator with experience organizing events including Eclipse Festival Canada, while older Ontario psytrance material identifies him in an organizing/contracts role.
However, while rebuilding this numerical matrix, I was unable to recover a sufficiently clean indexed source for the specific Mikael Polo → KN¿WHERE cell.
Therefore I have not counted that connection in his numerical score here.
That does not prove the earlier connection false.
It means the source needs to be recovered before it belongs in a scored matrix.
That is exactly the evidentiary standard this series should use.

Counting only people in this working dataset who appear in at least one additional node produces another interesting result.

Bhakti Bliss’s published roster supports the very high concentration of recurring yoga, kirtan and wellness participants around that event.
So Is Bhakti Bliss the Centre?
Not necessarily.
This is where simple counting becomes misleading.
Bhakti Bliss has the highest degree.
In plain English, lots of the people we are following meet there.
But many of those people come from the same broad devotional, yoga and wellness community.
Gaiafest appears to perform a somewhat different function.
Its programming mixes people from that Bhakti/wellness environment with electronic performers such as Eric Mandala, Etienne Ozborne, Paulo Cardoso, Rise Ashen and others. Contemporary reporting describes Gaiafest as deliberately mixing music, yoga, workshops, meditation, breathwork, energy healing and related activities.
So:
Bhakti Bliss may have greater degree centrality, while Gaiafest may have greater brokerage value.

This is exactly the kind of structure network researchers pay attention to.
If Gaiafest disappeared from the diagram, the regional Bhakti network and portions of the electronic/transformational network would become less directly connected.
That makes Gaiafest a potentially important brokerage node.
Eclipse Has a Small Score but a Big Structural Role
Eclipse illustrates the opposite problem with simply counting participants.
Its official 2022 roster contains Eric Mandala & Zu Zen & The Rainbow Tribe and Nikoli among a large psychedelic/electronic lineup.
Mikael Polo’s public biography also references experience organizing Eclipse Festival Canada.
That means Eclipse can potentially connect:

Only a handful of our people may pass through it.
But they lead toward very different communities.
That gives Eclipse high structural importance despite a lower raw count.
And Raven's Knoll Is Something Else Entirely
Raven's Knoll should not really be ranked against performers because it performs a different organizational function.
It is a venue node.
Bhakti Bliss officially identifies Raven's Knoll as its 2026 location. KN¿WHERE's official material likewise identifies Raven's Knoll as the location of its June 2026 bass-music festival.

KN¿WHERE itself describes its lineage as an evolution of DNR's Toronto KN¿WHERE shows into a camping festival combining bass music, art and wellness.
So Raven's Knoll remains a major physical brokerage node even though the person-level evidence still does not show the Bhakti organizing core running KN¿WHERE.
Who Holds the Network Together?
There is no single answer.
Different people and events perform different functions.
Eric Mandala currently appears to be the strongest individual cross-cultural boundary spanner.
Justine Hoang appears to be one of the strongest regional community connectors.
Rebecca White Raven and Kevin Guerette represent a strong continuity core linking the older Bhakti environment to several successor and neighbouring events.
Nikoli is an important independent bridge into the Ottawa electronic and transformational circuit.
Gaiafest appears to be the strongest festival-level convergence point between otherwise different communities.
Bhakti Bliss appears to contain the greatest concentration of the recurring devotional/wellness network.
Eclipse has fewer identified crossover people but unusually high brokerage potential because those people lead into different social environments.
And Raven's Knoll remains the strongest physical venue bridge currently documented between Bhakti Bliss and KN¿WHERE.
The Original Theory Does Not Survive
At the beginning of this investigation, it would have been easy to draw:

The Real Finding
The network does not appear to be held together by one person.
It has redundancy.
Remove Eric and the Bhakti–Gaia relationships remain.
Remove Rebecca and Justine, Andrew, Kevin and others continue connecting that community.
Remove Gaiafest and Eclipse still creates another route toward electronic and transformational festival culture.
Remove Eclipse and Nikoli still connects Gaiafest with Sonic Springs and Ottawa's electronic arts community.
Remove Raven's Knoll and the interpersonal network does not disappear.
That is an important Organizational Behaviour finding.
A mature informal network does not depend upon one bridge. It develops multiple paths through which people, information, practices and opportunities can travel.
And That Changes the Story
We started by asking whether Eric Mandala was the connection between these communities.
The answer now appears to be:
No.
He is one of the most important boundary spanners we have identified.
But the network survives without him.
Justine, Rebecca, Kevin, Andrew, Nikoli and others create independent paths.
Gaiafest, Bhakti Bliss and Eclipse create organizational meeting points.
Raven's Knoll creates a physical meeting point.
And regional communities such as Ottawa kirtan, yoga, wellness and electronic arts continue operating between formal festival dates.
That is why I think we can finally describe what we have been looking at with considerably more confidence.
This is not one chain.
It is not one person's social circle.
And the evidence does not establish one controlling organization.
It is an organizational ecosystem with multiple overlapping hubs, bridges and communities.
And now, for the first time, we can begin identifying which of those hubs actually matter most.
