What Happens When We Follow Everyone Instead?
There is a problem that can creep into any investigation like this.
You find one interesting person.
You follow their connections.
You find another person.
You follow those connections.
Before long, you can accidentally create a network that exists partly because you chose where to start looking.
So I decided to change the method.
Instead of starting with Eric Mandala, Rebecca White Raven, Bhakti Bliss or KN¿WHERE, I began reversing the search across the entire collection of festivals and communities we have been examining.
Take the organizers.
Take the workshop facilitators.
Take the yoga instructors.
Take the musicians.
Take the wellness presenters.
Take the recurring non-DJ performers.
Then ask where else those people appear.
The result changes the picture considerably.
We are no longer looking at one chain of connections. We are beginning to see several overlapping festival circuits.
A Necessary Correction First
One apparent connection surfaced during the search involving electronic artist Etienne Ozborne and KN¿WHERE.
On closer examination, I could not substantiate that connection from the underlying festival material.
So I am withdrawing it.
Etienne remains relevant because his documented festival history intersects with Gaiafest, Eclipse and Sonic Springs, but I am not counting him as a confirmed KN¿WHERE crossover.
This is worth mentioning because this is exactly how network research should work.
If a connection does not survive verification, remove it.
A cleaner map is more useful than a larger one.
Rebecca White Raven: Organizational Continuity
Rebecca remains one of the clearest people in the network, but for a different reason than Eric Mandala.
Rebecca helped organize Bhakti in the Woods and later initiated Bhakti Bliss following the end of Bhakti in the Woods’ approximately ten-year run.
That creates one of the strongest organizational continuities we have found:

But reversing outward from Rebecca also takes us into Gaiafest.
She has appeared there through sound healing and related programming.
So Rebecca is not simply the connection between an old festival and its successor.
She also moves through a broader regional wellness and spiritual festival environment.
Kevin Guerette: The Devotional Music Network
Kevin Guerette appears repeatedly with Rebecca within kirtan and devotional music communities.
His appearances help show that this is not simply a story about individual yoga teachers working independently.
There is a recognizable Ottawa–Gatineau devotional music circuit.
Kevin and Rebecca have appeared around Bhakti-related events, Gaiafest and other regional yoga and wellness environments.
That gives us another persistent relationship:

Justine Hoang: Another Long-Running Regional Bridge
Justine Hoang appears across several different parts of the same regional environment.
Her public festival history includes yoga, kirtan, Bhakti programming and wellness events.
She appears around:
- Bhakti in the Woods;
- Bhakti Bliss;
- Gaiafest;
- Peterborough Yoga Festival;
- City of Om;
- 24Hr Yogapalooza;
- and Rooted in Wellness.
That makes her particularly useful from an Organizational Behaviour perspective.
She is not necessarily an organizational leader across all of these events.
Instead, she represents something equally important:
a recurring participant within a community of practice.
People like this carry relationships, knowledge, expectations and culture between events.
Andrew Sass: The Pattern Repeats
Andrew Sass also appears repeatedly within the Bhakti and regional wellness environment.
His connections include the OMBuds, Bhakti-related programming, Gaiafest and Bhakti Bliss.

The important point is not that Andrew controls any of those environments.
It is that his repeated presence helps demonstrate that we are looking at an actual recurring social community rather than random one-time festival bookings.
Gaiafest Changes Everything
The more people we reverse-search, the more important Gaiafest becomes.
Originally I treated Gaiafest as another festival where Eric Mandala appeared.
That interpretation is no longer adequate.
Gaiafest has also included:
- Rebecca White Raven;
- Kevin Guerette;
- Justine Hoang;
- Andrew Sass;
- Christine Lamothe;
- and people from the electronic and transformational festival environment.
So Gaiafest looks less like an Eric Mandala satellite and more like an independent convergence point.

That is significant.
The festival appears capable of attracting people from devotional music, yoga, wellness, ecstatic dance and electronic festival communities.
Christine Lamothe: A Connection We Had Not Been Following
Christine Lamothe is a good example of why reversing the search matters.
She was not one of the original people at the centre of our investigation.
Yet public festival material places her at Gaiafest, while Bhakti Bliss also lists her within workshop programming.
That creates another completely independent bridge:

This matters because the Gaiafest–Bhakti Bliss overlap no longer depends on Rebecca, Eric, Justine or Andrew.
The relationship survives when we start looking at other people.
That is stronger evidence of network overlap.
Tiina Kivinen: Peterborough Enters the Network
Tiina Kivinen provides another independent route.
Her public history connects the Peterborough yoga and kirtan community with Bhakti Bliss.

Again, this makes the overall network less dependent on the people we originally chose to investigate.
The regional circuit extends beyond Ottawa and Gatineau.
Eric Mandala Still Occupies a Different Position
Eric remains important, but the expanded search helps us understand why.
Rebecca is particularly important for continuity within the Bhakti world.
Eric is particularly important because he crosses between environments that otherwise do not completely overlap.
His documented festival history extends through:
- Rainbow-associated environments;
- Pagan festival environments;
- Bhakti Bliss;
- Gaiafest;
- Eclipse Festival;
- and international transformational festival culture.
His position therefore looks more like this:

That is a classic boundary-spanning position.
But Eric Is No Longer Necessary to Explain the Network
This may be one of the most important findings in the entire investigation.
If removing Eric caused the rest of the relationships to disappear, we could reasonably describe him as the principal bridge holding everything together.
That is not what happens.

So Eric is an important bridge.
He is not the only bridge.
Nikoli Reveals Another Side of Gaiafest
Then the expanded search takes us somewhere different again.
Electronic artist and organizer Nikoli has been publicly associated with Gaiafest, Eclipse Festival, Sonic Springs and Ottawa’s Music.Art.Ppl collective.
That gives us an entirely separate pathway:

This matters for a very specific reason.
We already had:

Now we also have:

So Gaiafest’s connection to the broader electronic and transformational festival ecosystem does not depend solely on Eric either.
Sonic Springs Needs to Be Added to the Map
Sonic Springs emerged repeatedly as the reverse search expanded.
It presents itself as a music, arts and wellness festival combining electronic music, visual art, workshops, wellness activities, nature and community.
That combination should sound familiar by now.
It occupies almost exactly the cultural territory where several of our previously separate networks begin overlapping:
electronic music + art + wellness + camping + community.
Nikoli connects Sonic Springs to Gaiafest and Eclipse.
That makes Sonic Springs another useful node within the wider ecosystem.
Now Return to KN¿WHERE
Our previous reverse search of KN¿WHERE produced a different collection of people.
KN¿WHERE itself appears to have a strong independent origin in Toronto bass music and DNR Productions.
Nirvana Fernandez provides that organizational lineage.
Festival director Sig Greenebaum contributes professional festival-management experience from a different environment again.
Then KN¿WHERE’s workshop and wellness programming introduces still other networks.
The most important discovery there was Mikael Polo.
Mikael Polo: KN¿WHERE Reaches Back Into Psytrance
Public material surrounding Polo identifies previous involvement in Ontario psychedelic and psytrance event organization.
Promotional material also credits him with experience around Eclipse Festival Canada.
That gives us:

This is significant because Eclipse was already appearing on the other side of our network.
Eric Mandala also reaches Eclipse.
Nikoli also reaches Eclipse.

Eclipse Becomes Another Convergence Event
That creates several independent routes:

That does not establish that all three people worked together.
It does not demonstrate a single organization.
But it tells us that several people from otherwise different portions of the network participate within the same broader transformational and psychedelic festival ecosystem.
There Are Now At Least Three Circuits
Once we stop trying to force everything into one chain, three broad social environments become visible.

Raven’s Knoll remains significant.
But it is no longer the only place where the networks touch.
Different Bridges Perform Different Functions
This may be the most useful Organizational Behaviour finding so far.
People can be bridges.
Eric Mandala, Rebecca White Raven, Justine Hoang, Andrew Sass, Christine Lamothe, Tiina Kivinen, Nikoli and Mikael Polo all connect different portions of the ecosystem in different ways.
Festivals can be bridges.
Gaiafest and Eclipse appear particularly important because people from otherwise distinct communities pass through them.
Venues can be bridges.
Raven’s Knoll provides a physical convergence point for Bhakti Bliss and KN¿WHERE.
Informal communities can be bridges.
Ottawa-area kirtan circles, yoga communities and collectives such as Music.Art.Ppl maintain relationships between the larger formal events.
This Is Not One Organization
Nothing we have uncovered establishes a command structure connecting all these festivals.
There is no evidence presently supporting a simple chain such as:

That would be an overstatement.
KN¿WHERE retains a strong independent lineage through DNR and Toronto electronic music.
Bhakti Bliss retains a strong lineage through Bhakti in the Woods and the regional kirtan and wellness community.
Rainbow Family has a much older and broader history of its own.
Eclipse, Gaiafest and Sonic Springs likewise have their own organizational identities.
The evidence supports network overlap, not one hidden organization.
The Full Picture Is Starting to Look Like This

The arrows in that diagram should not be interpreted as ownership or command.
They represent publicly visible participation, recurring relationships or organizational adjacency.
The Original Theory Was Too Simple
At the beginning, the network appeared to look something like:

That was useful as an investigative starting point.
But it no longer survives the evidence very well.
The better model is:
Several long-running regional communities are connected by multiple boundary-spanning individuals, recurring performers, wellness practitioners, festival organizers, collectives, venues and shared cultural practices.
Some originate in Pagan and Rainbow-associated environments.
Some come from devotional music and yoga.
Some come from electronic music.
Some come from psytrance.
Some come from professional festival production.
Some move through several of these worlds.
And That Is What Makes This Interesting
The discovery is not that everyone secretly belongs to one organization.
Quite the opposite.
The interesting thing is that the network remains visible even after we remove the people we originally thought were holding it together.
Remove Eric and the Bhakti/Gaia network remains.
Remove Rebecca and Justine, Andrew, Christine and others still create recurring festival overlap.
Remove Raven’s Knoll and Eclipse still provides another convergence point.
Remove Eclipse and Gaiafest still connects devotional, wellness and electronic communities.
That means what we are observing is not simply one person’s social circle.
It looks much more like a genuine organizational ecosystem.
One Final Caution
Being part of the same festival ecosystem does not imply misconduct.
Appearing at the same festival does not establish friendship.
Sharing a stage does not establish organizational membership.
Sharing a venue does not establish common ownership.
And appearing within the same social network certainly does not establish conspiracy.
Those distinctions matter.
But they do not make the network meaningless.
Organizational Behaviour tells us exactly the opposite.
Informal relationships are often how communities actually function.
Information moves through people.
Opportunities move through people.
Performers recommend performers.
Organizers meet organizers.
Communities borrow practices from one another.
People return to events where they already know others.
And over years, apparently separate communities can become part of the same larger social ecosystem without ever becoming the same organization.
Where We Are Now
Our working conclusion has changed considerably.
We are not seeing one linear network built around Eric Mandala, Bhakti Bliss or Raven’s Knoll. We are seeing several established regional communities—including devotional music, yoga and wellness, Pagan and Rainbow-adjacent circles, Ottawa electronic arts, psytrance and professional festival production—connected through multiple people and convergence events. Gaiafest, Eclipse and Raven’s Knoll each appear to occupy important but different positions within that wider ecosystem.
That conclusion is less dramatic than claiming we discovered some hidden organization.
It is also considerably more interesting.
Because now we are not simply asking:
Who knows whom?
We can start asking:
Which people and events actually hold the network together?
And that is something we can begin measuring.
