Standing on the Ledge: Rebuilding from the Rubble—an ongoing, real-time record of what happens after collapse, when old rules stop functioning and new ones haven’t yet earned trust.
What’s the oldest thing you own that you still use daily?
Probably the oldest thing i own and still use daily is a 1976 Corsair travel trailer/camper. I use it for storage right now instead of renting a storage unit. I bought it many years ago and used to live in it about 6 months out of the year. It certainly does has paid for it self.
One considers it a luxury, but really is it? And the one thing is a car. Cars have always equalled freedom and independence. Second thing the internet.
If you had to change your name, what would your new name be?
Have actually thought about this one a lot. But i had to think also why, for what reasons. Why do people change their names?
Professional… Ie actor or celebrity to avoid confusion with other thespians. Possibly to avoid past life, a new birth so to speak in cases where ones past haunts them, and in todays society where gender change seems to be the new craze (but that is a whole other topic on its own)
Decidedly i will keep my name, and use my pseudonym of choice in situations where i want to separate mundane life with other situations.
Do you remember your favorite book from childhood?
The book i recall as being a favourite was ‘the Big Book of Fairy Tales’ as the name suggests it was a collection of stories from Hanzel and Gretel, Red Ridinghood, Rumplestillskin etc etc.
