ok so maybe a little bit melodramatic here….but holy hell what did I do?!!!!!!!

Well, I will tell me what I did dear boy. You decided to go back to school… yes only taking online courses but something you have wanted to do for years and you never really had the money to spare. This year you did…. and the course that you wanted to take was not full all ready. Yay for you.

So you managed to pay the fee and get the books, get logged into the online portal. You looked at the course outline. nothing major. A few quizzes a short essay, a midterm, and a final assessment. N0 PROBLEMO. As per the instructor’s request, you found the discussion board and introduced yourself. You read a couple of the modules already and looked at the first assignment essay and it is a breaching experiment. COOL BEANS You got this. After performing the breaching experiment you have to write an essay. COOL TAPES You got this. You start writing out the requirements of the essay. Then you got home today and checked the discussion board, there are two new posts on the Q/A part of the board. You read them. A question posed was “does the essay need to be in APA format?” reply from the instructor “Yes it does. ” holy hell APA format??? you “what the Thors hammer is APA format for essays?” Last time you took a college course this was not required.

SO….. thankfully essay is not due for another 10 days… and now not only am I taking this course I am having to relearn how to write an essay college/university style. I think there should have taken a “Back to School for Dummies” course prerequisite for Gen-xs who have been out of school for 27 years. It also appears most of the people who I am taking the course with were just a glint in their parent’s eyes the last time I was in school.
